Even before the pandemic emptied campus classrooms, practitioners noticed a fall in attendance at formal lectures. Engagement is a key factor in achieving academic success. Still, many learners struggle to consistently attend physical classes or engage with materials and peers. Understanding the reasons behind this can help universities and educators create strategies to improve engagement and enhance the overall learning experience.
